Crisis Medical paramedics responded to an accident on North Coast Road by Sea Cow Lake at 07:15 this morning.
On arrival, paramedics found 2 vehicles that had collided into one another. Occupants of the vehicles were assessed and it was found 3 passengers of a taxi had been injured. Two of the injured were treated for minor injuries while one was treated for serious head injuries. All 3 were transported to hospital for further medical care.
From on scene reports, it is suggested that a taxi failed to stop behind a stationary bakkie before rear ending it. It is unknown at this stage why the taxi did not stop but SAPS members were on scene to investigate.
