Eight people were left injured this morning after a bakkie rolled on the N11 near Hendrina in Mpumalanga.
ER24 paramedics responded to the scene and, on their arrival, found the bakkie lying down a small embankment on the side of the road.
On assessment, paramedics found that eight occupants from the bakkie had sustained minor to serious injuries. Some of the occupants had been sitting in the back of the bakkie when it left the road.
Paramedics set up a triage area and began treating the patients for their injuries, and providing the seriously injured patients with advanced life support.
Once treated and immobilised, the patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
