A man in his 40s was left seriously injured this evening when his light motor vehicle crashed into a wall in the Club view area in Centurion.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle lying on its side on the side of the road.
When paramedics inspected the vehicle, they discovered the lone occupant lying trapped inside the vehicle.
Rescue officers from provincial services had to use rescue equipment to free the patient from the vehicle.
Once freed, paramedics assessed the man and found that man was in a critical condition with severe injuries to his head and chest.
Paramedics stained the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions. He was thereafter transported to a private hospital for further treatment.
It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle as he drove around the corner.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
