Six people were left injured this morning following a collision between a bakkie and taxi at the Shakespeare and Faraday Road intersection in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi parked on the sidewalk while the bakkie was found in the middle of the road. The occupants from the taxi had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that six patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various provincial hospitals for further treatment.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
