A multiple vehicle pile-up on the M7 near the Hans Detman offramp in Pinetown has left three people injured this morning.
Just after 7am Rescue Care Paramedics responded to the accident to find the entire highway littered with paper and damaged vehicles. It is alleged that a truck carrying rolls of paper had lost its load on the entire highway. A truck then swerved to avoid the load and went down an embankment leaving the two occupants injured. They were stabilised by Advanced Life Support Paramedics on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. Two vehicles were also involved in a collision and one person was treated and transported to hospital.
At this stage, the reason for the lost load is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
