Netcare 911 rushed to the scene of a very tragic accident on the N2 near St Lucia. An elderly male and his wife were travelling in a Mercedes, trying to make a U turn when a truck collided with them. The driver in his late 50’s was in a critical condition but sadly he died before paramedics could move him from the vehicle.
His wife sustained minor injuries and paramedics treated her. She was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
