This morning Netcare 911 Paramedic Mark Thomas rushed to the scene of an accident on the N2 near the Mtunzini Plaza . On arrival the paramedic was faced with a horrible scene as a female RTI officer was hit by a vehicle. She sustained very serious injuries and the paramedic started to stabilise her.
The Netcare 3 medical helicopter was dispatched with a trauma team on board , to assist and then airlift her to the Netcare Umhlanga hospital in Durban for further treatment. Mark said this is always difficult cases to deal with as these are colleague and friends that we work hand in hand with on a daily basis.
