A man was hit and killed by a train between New Era and Pollak Park in Springs on Wednesday, Gauteng police said.
Inspector Yakub Rasool said the incident happened around 10am.
The body was badly mutilated by the impact and the man’s identity could not be established.
An inquest into the death was being conducted, said Rasool. – Sapa
