This morning Netcare 911 rushed to the scene of a shooting on the Mid Illovo road about 30 km outside Pietermaritzburg. When they arrived on scene we found that 3 people had been shot. Two of them were removed from the scene by private transport and fortunately they came across one of our vehicles about 10 kilometres from the scene.
Both patients had sustained critical gunshot wounds and after paramedics stabilised them , they were transported to the Prince Mshiyeni hospital for further treatment.
Sadly the driver of the taxi died on scene due to the severe injuries he sustained.
