Netcare 911 rushed to the scene of an accident on the N2 South near the airport. On arrival they found that a bakkie overturned and landed in some marsh land on its roof. The two occupants of the vehicle was extremely fortunate as the vehicle landed upside down in about 8 inches of water.
The one occupant managed to crawl out of the vehicle through a window and managed to pull his friend out. When paramedics got there they went into the marsh land and had to place the one patient on a spinal board as he sustained injuries to his back. The other person escaped without injury.
After paramedics treated the patient he was transported to hospital by ambulance.
