Emergency services rushed to an accident an the N2 near the NPC factory on the northbound at around 07H15 this morning. Two vehicles lost control and went down an embankment for about 100 meters.

When the paramedics arrived they found that both the drivers of the vehicles sustained serious injuries, and after stabilising them they were immobilised on trauma boards and then had to be carried out of the ravine to the ambulances waiting on the freeway.

Both patients were transported to the St Augustine’s hospital for further treatment. SAPS is investigating the accident.
