This morning Netcare 911 and the emergency services rushed to the scene of an accident on the Phoenix Highway near the SAPS. When they arrived they were faced with a scene where 2 taxis collided with each other. The one taxi collided into the rear of the other taxi and fireman and paramedics had to use the jaws of life to free one of the passengers from the wreckage.
A total of 7 people were injured – 1 sustained critical injuries , 1 patient had serious injuries and 5 others only sustained minor injuries. All the patients were treated on scene and then transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
