There is a television production titled “Walking with Lions”. This features the British and Irish Lions and their Tour to South Africa. Earlier this week I had the privilege of having lunch in Knysna on the South Coast of South Africa.
I had the opportunity to discuss rugby with a few staunch Lions supporters. The discussion also featured our expectations for the First Test in Durban. I expressed my concerns with regards to selecting an unfit Schalk Burger or an out-of-position fullback. Fortunately the selectors made, in my opinion, the correct selections the next day!
Some of them stayed in George and others in Knysna. They were moving up the coastline for the match on Wednesday against the Southern Kings and the Test Match this coming Saterday!
These passionate supporters are enjoying their stay in South Africa and the regular visits to restaurants and some fine establishments with a variety of refreshments!
