This morning at 07h30 Netcare 911 and the emergency services rushed to the scene of an accident near the intersection of Bayhead and Mayden roads. On arrival they found that a taxi and a car collided head- on trapping some of the people in the vehicle wreckages.
Fireman used the yaws of life to free a critically injured male from the car ( Mazda). After paramedics stabilised the patient he was transported to the Netcare St Augustine’s hospital for further treatment. Two other patients sustained serious injuries and a further 6 minor injuries. All these patients were treated on scene and then transported to the King Edward hospital for further treatment.
