Tonight Netcare 911 rushed to the scene of an accident in NMR Avenue by the entrance to the Durban station. It is unknown as to what exactly happened, but the two cars collided head -on. The one vehicle had a father driving two children, one 6 year old boy,a two year old girl and granny.
Firemen had to use the yaws of life to free the dad from the wreckage. He sustained spinal injuries, the 6 year old had a large laceration to the head and the granny had a laceration to the face. The 2 year old fortunately escaped injury.
All the patients were treated on scene and then transported to Addington hospital in Durban for further treatment.
