Man dies in accident on Berea Road, Durban

This morning a Netcare 911 paramedic was parked at the traffic lights at the intersection of Berea and Essenwood road in Durban when she noticed a vehicle travelling at high speed up Berea road against the traffic flow.

The vehicle lost control and then crashed into the barriers. The two men in the vehicle were injured – one of them critical, and although the paramedic tried to resuscitated him he died on scene. The other patient had minor injuries and was left in SAPS custody.
