Netcare 911 rushed to the scene of a taxi accident on the M37 near Amanzimtoti. On arrival paramedics found that a taxi had collided with a cow, overturned and came to a standstill about 70 meters down the road. Paramedics were amazed to witness how the cow was dismembered and removed in only 15 minutes by locals with machetes.
A total of 17 people were injured in this accident – 4 of them sustained serious injuries and a further 13 patients sustained only minor injuries. All the patients were treated and then transported to the Prince Mshiyeni hospital for further treatment.
