Truck in flames on N2 West bound near Pavillion Shopping Mall

Netcare 911 and the emergency services rushed to the scene of an accident on the N3 West bound near the pavilion shopping mall. When we arrived on scene we found that a heavy goods truck with double trailer and caring a load of soda ash slammed into the back of another truck.

It then burst into flames. The driver of the truck sustained 90% burns to his body. After the patient was stabilised he was airlifted to the Netcare St Augustine’s hospital for further treatment.
