Netcare 911 rushed to the scene of an accident on the M37 at around 07h00 this morning. On arrival we found that a 6 year old boy was crossing the road when a taxi hit him. The child was flung 34 meters through the air before hitting the ground. He sustained critical injuries and after paramedics stabilised him, he was transported to the Netcare Kingsway hospital for further treatment.
A lady in her late twenties was also hit by the taxi as he swerved but she had only sustained minor injuries and was treated and then transported to Prince Mshiyeni hospital for further treatment.
