This afternoon at around 13h43 Netcare 911 paramedics rushed to the scene of an industrial accident in the Hillcrest area. When we arrived we found that a male patient had fallen some 4 meters at a construction site and sustained very serious injuries to the spine.
The Netcare 3 Helicopter with a trauma team on board was called to assist with the stabilising of the patient and then he was airlifted to the Netcare St Augustine’s hospital for further treatment.
