Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a very tragic drowning in the Amanzimtoti area. When they arrived at the house they found a one year old boy that had been playing in the yard, fell into the pool and drowned.
Paramedics worked relentlessly for over an hour to try and resuscitate the little child but sadly it was unsuccessful.
We have had several such calls recently and paramedics once again plead with the public to ensure that there pools are covered to prevent such tragedy.
