CENTURION, 27 August 2009 – OUTsurance was once again voted the top brand in the short-term insurance category at the 2009 Sunday Times Top Brands Awards held at Lexus Fourways in Johannesburg last week.
This is by no means a small feat considering that this is the 5th time in the past 6 years that OUTsurance has walked away with this prestigious title. OUTsurance is a direct short-term insurance company and provides car insurance, household insurance, and business insurance products direct to private consumers and businesses.
The Top Brands survey was conducted by TNS Research Surveys who interviewed a total of 3500 South African adults from all population groups, languages, geographical areas and income groups.
During the interview, individuals were asked to name brands they used regularly and to rate brands of their own choosing on a “points-out-of-ten” basis. Results were combined and processed to achieve a final “Brand Relationship Score©”. This score provided brands with an overall rating on factors such as “trust and confidence”, “commitment” and “brand familiarity”.
