This afternoon 13 school children were injured after attending an expo at the ICC. It is believed that the children from Inanda high school were attending an expo at the ICC and when they finished they went to a parking lot across the road to take a taxi back to their school.
After the taxi loaded the children he allegedly started to race on circles around the parking lot . The driver then lost control and rolled the taxi in the parking area injuring 13 children.
4 Children sustained serious injuries and 9 minor injuries. All the patients were treated on scene and then transported to various hospitals in the Durban area for further treatment .
SAPS has taken the driver in custody and will be doing the investigation
