Nineteen passengers were seriously injured in a taxi accident on the N2 near Port Shepstone in the Marburg area. The taxi collided with a truck that was turning off the N2 and into the Marburg area .
Netcare 911 paramedics were dispatched to the scene at around 08h30 and when they arrived they found that the taxi went into the side of the truck. A total of 19 passengers from the taxi sustained serious injuries and after treatment on scene they were transported to the Port Shepstone provincial hospital for further treatment.
SAPS was on scene and is investigating the accident.
