Three ladies were critically injured in an accident along the Phoenix highway this afternoon at around 15h00. A ten ton truck and a Mazda sting collided at the intersection of the Phoenix highway and Grove end road. All three the patients were from the Mazda .
When Paramedics from Netcare 911 arrived on scene they found that all three patients were in a very critical condition. The Netcare 3 helicopter with a trauma team was called to assist with the stabilising of the patients. One of the ladies had to be placed on a ventilator and was airlifted to the King Edward hospital for further treatment. Both the other patients were treated on scene and then transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment .
