5 People have lost their lives in yet another tragic accident on our roads. A Nissan Hardbody and a taxi collided on the P74 in Stanger at around 13h00 this afternoon. Both vehicles were very badly damaged leaving 5 people dead, 3 in a critical condition and a further 5 with serious injuries .
Paramedics that arrived on scene were faced with absolute carnage and people laying everywhere screaming with pain and fear. They worked frantically to stabilise all the patients and the poor weather also made it difficult.
Several ambulances from Netcare and the EMRS were used to transport all the injured to the Stanger hospital for further treatment.
SAPS is investigating the accident.
