A man was critically injured in an accident just before mid- day , when his car spun out of control and wrapped around a light pole at the intersection of Sarnia and Sydney roads in Durban.
When paramedics arrived on scene they prepared themselves for the worst as the car was totally destroyed. The driver, a 22 year old male from the Bluff was in the car and in a critical condition. Paramedics worked frantically to stabilise the young man and then transported him to a nearby provincial hospital for further treatment.
It is unclear what caused the accident however SAPS are investigating.
