This evening Netcare 911 and the Fire services rushed to the scene of yet another horrific accident on our roads. In Umgeni road near Makro in Durban a VW had driven into the side of a 18 wheeler truck. The vehicle came to a standstill completely underneath the truck and then started to burn.
The fire was quickly extinguished but sadly the driver sustained such severe injuries that he died on scene. Fireman had to use heavy rescue equipment to lift the truck before they were able to winch the wreckage out from underneath the truck .
