This morning Netcare 911 rushed to the scene of an accident on the N2 near Park Rynie. When paramedics arrived on scene they found that a Mahindra vehicle had driven into the back of a truck injuring 5 people.

A front passenger sustained serious injuries and firemen and paramedics had to use the jaws of life to free him from the mangled wreckage. Four other people sustained relatively minor injuries – 3 were transported to GJ Crooks hospital in Scottburgh by the Provincial ambulance and the seriously injured man and one patient with minor injuries were transported by Netcare to the St Augustine’s hospital in Durban for further treatment.
