Moolmans Mining addresses road safety as part of mining safety!

On the 23rd of September 2009, spot checks on our vehicle safety practices kicked off. SHE Officer J Halgryn took it upon herself to check the usage of safety belts in the vehicles transporting our colleagues off site. Although there where some not wearing safety belts, it was quickly rectified. This will become a normal part of our daily routine in our constant drive toward ensuring safety. This was also discussed in training to ensure our people understand the result of not wearing a safety belt in an accident.
Since the start of the Safety @ Home Campaign, booklets containing the information provided by the Arrive Alive website have been handed out to our employees. The booklets contains information on safety belts, drunken driving, tyre maintenance tips and the dangers of speeding. They are small and can be put in the glove box for reference. All the information contained in the booklets was also discussed in the campaign training sessions.

The Arrive Alive website would like to congratulate Moolmans Mining for the efforts to enhance road safety amongst all employees!
