A pedestrian was walking along the N2 North near the Durban international airport on Saturday afternoon when he was hit by a heavy goods truck that was driving in the left hand lane of the highway.
Paramedics from the Netcare 911 base in Amanzimtoti was called to the accident and when they arrived , were faced with a very tragic scene. A male in his forties was laying on the roadway but tragically already passed away due to the injuries caused when the wheels of the truck ran over him.
It is unclear as to the coarse of the accident but SAPS Isipingo is doing the investigation .
