This evening Netcare 911 paramedics raced to the scene of a horrific collision on the onramp to the N3 from Warwick triangle at around 6 pm. On arrival paramedics were faced with multiple casualties from the taxi that collided with a car as well as a pedestrian who had been walking on the pavement.
The patients were quickly assessed and the pedestrian suffered critical injuries. He was placed on a ventilator before being rushed through to King Edward Hospital for further care. A further 7 patients were treated on scene and transported through to a local hospital.
It is unclear what happened however SAPS is investigating.
