A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after a snarl up on the Modderfontein road at around 09h30 this morning.
Exact details of the accident is still for the SAPS investigation, however the motorbike collided into the side of a two tonne Kia truck. The driver was flung through the air about 30 meters before landing on the road way. His helmet came off in the accident and landed some 50 meters further down the road.
Paramedics arrived on scene and found the bike rider on the roadway with multiple fractures to his arms and legs, they worked fervently to stabilize the critically injured man and after immobilizing him on a spinal board, advanced life support paramedics transported him by ambulance to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital for further treatment.
