Don’t risk safety when driving on safari!

It is expected that many of the Football World Cup 2010 visitors will take the opportunity to spend time in game reserves in Southern Africa. South African game reserves and parks are preparing for this inflow of visitors, well aware that a positive experience will have a significant impact and benefits for future tourism.

On the Arrive Alive website we have focused out attention to providing road safety advice for our foreign travellers. We have also focused on providing a survival guide for safety on the road to the sports stadium. We have however not previously focused on the safety of visitors when visiting the game reserves and whilst driving in these reserves and parks…

A recent request for assistance on a road safety regulatory matter by a very exclusive game ranch convinced us to do the required research and provide a guide to safety when driving on safari. The objective with this new section of content is to provide suggestions on how to enjoy this driving experience in safety – not only for the visitor but also whilst recognizing the safety of wildlife in the wild.

It is our wish that game reserves across Southern Africa will benefit from this section of the website and that it will create more awareness amongst our foreign visitors on the risks to be expected when driving in the wild. With careful preparation and attention to safety guidelines all our visitors can enjoy a safe and enjoyable safari journey.

We would like to invite all visitors to view the following sections:
