A patient was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on Marine drive in Uvongo on the Natal South coast at 01h30 this morning. The driver lost control of his vehicle and rolled several times . Netcare 911 paramedics and the fire department were called to the scene.On arrival they found that the driver sustained serious injuries and was trapped in the vehicle.
Fireman and paramedics battled for over two hours using the jaws of life to free the patient from the mangled wreckage. He was stabilised on scene and then transported to the Netcare Margate hospital for further treatment.
