One man is fighting for his life in Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital, Durban, after his car slammed into a stationary minibus taxi in the intersection of Innes and Umgeni Roads, Stamford Hill, this morning.
When Netcare 911 Paramedics arrived at the scene they found the critically wounded man slumped over in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the man, who had sustained massive head trauma. He was placed on a manual ventilator at the scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
Passengers of the taxi emerged uninjured.
