13-year-old school boy was seriously injured when he was hit by a car on Barracuda Road, Newlands East, Durban, this morning.
It is thought that the boy had been crossing the road near Barracuda Primary School when he was hit by the car.
The teenager sustained possible head and spinal injuries, as well as multiple abrasions. He was treated by Netcare 911 Paramedics at the roadside before he was transported to New eThekwini Hospital by ambulance.
He is in a serious but stable condition.
