On the 30th September 2009 just after 7pm Netcare 911 paramedics rushed to the scene of a taxi accident on the N3 near Market Road. On arrival paramedics found a taxi on its side whilst people were laying on the side of the freeway. Paramedics worked quickly to stabilize the 12 injured teenagers before transporting them through to a nearby hospital. It is unclear what happened however SAPS are investigating.
