Two people seriously injured at intersection in Durban

Two people were seriously injured when the cars they were travelling in collided in the intersection of West and Broad Streets, Central Durban, in the early hours of this morning.

One car slammed into the side of the other in the intersection, sending it spinning into a store front. The car came to rest on the pavement, near the sales floor of Mr Price on Durban’s West Street. Netcare 911 Paramedics rushed to the scene and once there, established that the drivers of both vehicles had been seriously injured, sustaining head and spinal injuries, as well lacerations and abrasions.

The wounded were treated at the scene before they were transported to Addington Hospital by Netcare 911 ambulance for further medical care.
