Two people died during a baptism service held in the Klipriver in the Brachendown area this morning at around 08h00.
Exact detail is are still unknown and for police investigation, however it is purposed that a church group was holding a baptism service in the Klipriver this morning. The river had risen with the rainfall and two of the church members washed away.
Netcare 911 paramedics and SAPS raced to the scene, but sadly the two church goers had succumbed to a watery grave. Police divers removed the bodies from the river while paramedics stood by on the river banks.
