2 Die in taxi accident in Linden

Two people died and 8 others were injured, three critically so in a taxi accident in the Linden area this morning. Although the exact details are still for police investigation, it appears that the taxi driver lost control of the vehicle, hurtled across an island and then smashed through the wall of an old age home.

Paramedics arrived on scene to find 10 people scattered along the path of devastation as they were ejected from the mangled wreck. Sadly the driver and his front passenger died on scene due to the severity of there injuries. Three others were critically injured, one had serious injuries and 3 others escaped with only minor injuries – one of them a 2 year old boy.

Paramedics from various services worked fervently to stabilize the injured and then transported them to various hospitals for further treatment.
