53 year old male critically wounded

A 53 year old Indian male was critically wounded in an armed robbery today at the intersection of Langenhoven and Oak street in the Kemptonpark area. The victim claims that he was parked at the bank and was getting the money out of the boot, when unknown gunman pushed him into to trunk of his car and shot him in the chest.

When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene they found the 53 year old male with a single shot in the back of this chest. Realizing that the man was in a critical condition and needed to get to a trauma facility in a hurry, they called for the Netcare 1 medical helicopter to airlift the patient to hospital.

While waiting for the helicopter Paramedics worked fervently to stabilize the man and packaged him in preparation for the flight. The patient was then placed in the care of a trauma doctor who monitored the patients condition during the flight to the Netcare Union hospital where his undergoing further treatment.
