A side impact accident at the intersection of North road and Rosetta street in Regents Park left an elderly lady with serious injuries. The details of the accident is still speculative and for police investigation, however the one vehicle collided into the side of another vehicle at the intersection.
When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene they found the elderly lady still trapped in the wreckage of her car. Paramedics suspected that she could have sustained spinal injuries and they used a specialized device to immobilize her before she was removed from the vehicle.
The elderly lady was stabilized on scene and then transported by ambulance to the Netcare Union hospital for further treatment. No other persons sustained injuries in this accident.
