A 32 year old man is in a critical condition after he sustained multiple gunshot wounds in his chest. Details of the shooting is still speculative and a subject for police investigation. However it is believed that the man was in a shop in the Ficksburg area when unknown gunmen entered the building and opened fire on the victim.
The critically injured patient was rushed privately to a provincial hospital in Ficksburg for treatment. Netcare 911 was contacted and the advanced life support paramedic and his crew rushed to the hospital. After the patient was stabilized he was loaded into the awaiting Netcare ambulance and transported to a hospital in Bloemfontein for further treatment.
