Four department of home affairs workers died in horror smash on the old Pretoria road just past the intersection of Griffiths road Isando Thursday afternoon at around 13h30. Details of the accident are still speculative but it is believed by onlookers that the department of home affairs vehicle came into the on coming lane and collided head on with the heavy goods truck.
When the Netcare 911 Paramedics arrived on scene they found that the patients from car were ejected on impact as the car was torn apart. Some ended up several meters away from where the car came to rest . Racing towards them to assess each patient they were horrified to find that all four men had passed away due to the severity of there injuries. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries but was visibly traumatized. He was treated on scene and then transported to a the Arwyp hospital for further treatment.
The roadway was closed in both directions for police investigations.
