One man sustained critical injuries while 3 other people sustained serious injuries in an accident at the intersection of Kingfisher and Brabant roads in Boksburg this afternoon at around 16 h00.
Exact details of the accident is still unknown, however it is believed that a Toyota Corolla was hit in the side by another vehicle. The Toyota overturned and a critically injured passenger was pinned under the car by his legs. The three other passengers from the Toyota crawled out of the car and was laying on the roadway when paramedics arrived on scene.
Emergency personnel had to lift the car up so that paramedics could pull the patient free from the car. Paramedics worked fervently to stabilize all the patients before transporting them to an Area hospital for further treatment.
Occupants from the other vehicle sustained no injuries in the accident.
