A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after he collided with a bakkie at the intersection of Geelhaak road and Dann road in Glen Marais, Kempton Park at around 17h00 this afternoon.
Exact details of the accident is still for police investigation, however the motorcycle collided with the front of the bakkie catapulting the rider into the middle of the roadway. The bike slid a further 20 meters and came to rest on the side walk.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the critically injured man lying prostrate in the middle of the roadway. Paramedics worked fervently to stabilize the man and after he was placed on a manual ventilator and immobilized on a trauma board, they transported him to the Arwyp hospital in Kempton Park for further treatment.
