A pedestrian is in a critical condition after he was struck by a bakkie at the intersection of Greenstone Boulevard and Stone Ridge drive at around 16h00 this afternoon.
Exact details of the accident is still for police investigation , however it is purported that a 32 year old man was trying to run across the intersection in the treacherous weather when he was struck by the bakkie .
On impact the pedestrian’s body slid across the bonnet of the vehicle, smashed through the windscreen and was then flung offer the rear of the bakkie. Paramedics stabilized the critically injured man on scene before transporting him to the Tembisa hospital for further treatment.
