One person was critically injured and two others sustained serious injuries when two cars collided at the intersection of Ontdekkers road and 11th ave last night at around 22 h00. Exact details of the accident is still unknown and for police investigation, however on impact the one vehicle overturned, landed on its roof, slid across the road and came to rest against a tree.
When paramedics from Netcare 911 arrived on scene they found a critically injured man still in the upside down vehicle and in a critical condition. He was immobilized on a trauma board and then removed from the wreckage, advanced life support paramedics then had to place him on a manual ventilator and after he was stabilized they transported him to an area hospital for further treatment
Two other patients also sustained serious injuries in this accident and after paramedics stabilized them on scene they were transported to a local hospital for further treatment,
