Three people were injured, one critically so in a snarl up along Van Dyk Road in Boksburg this morning at around 07h30. Exact details of the accident are still unclear, but when we arrived the three vehicles were across the entire roadway. The Mercedes was severely damage to the driver side and the two taxis collided head on.
The driver of the one taxi sustained critical injuries. The Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedics stabilized him on scene before he was airlifted to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital for further treatment.
The two seriously injured patients from the Mercedes were stabilized on scene and then transported by ambulance to the Netcare Sunward Park hospital for further treatment.
